In the southeast corner of the park there is an entrance to the Wild Basin area. If you plan to visit RMNP early in the summer, there is a good chance that you will encounter snow on some trails. To stay safe, start your hike early in the day so that you are finished, or at least below the tree line, by 1 pm. Black Lake and Mills Lake are often labeled as two of the prettiest lakes in Rocky Mountain National Park.
